AICT strives to create a computer lab environment that helps students and staff carry out the educational, research and service missions of the University of Alberta. Because computer use has become an essential part of education, AICT establishes and maintains a variety of instructional computing labs. Currently there are:
- Forty-One PC labs,
- Eight Macintosh labs (with Windows capability), and
- Three UNIX labs (with Windows capability).
AICT also provides a number of plug-in facilities where campus users can configure their personal laptops for Internet access.
